Voyaging With Iboga
I was asked to share my experience regarding the Ibogaine treatment, and how it has affected my recovery from drug addiction.
The following is a brief sketch of my background prior to Ibogaine: I'm a 37-year-old Native American male, who was raised in a very spiritual way on my reservation in upstate New York. But somewhere along the way I lost myself, made many poor decisions, and missed many great opportunities. Due to the twisted arrogance I developed in my illness, I often chose the hard way. I believe, though, that my Creator always watched over me and cared for me, even when it seemed that I was alone. See? My Creator guided me to Ibogaine!
Now life has changed for me. Taking Ibogaine on St. Kitts was one of my most transforming experiences! Ibogaine, the plant teacher, gave me exactly what I needed - my own, unique experience. One of the important features of Ibogaine is its natural origin. Creator put the iboga plant on this earth with absolute purpose and context. Although Ibogaine does not come from my homeland, I am familiar with its medicine, meaning that in my native land, there are many different natural medicines that my Nation has used and respected for thousands of years. Thus, I was prepared for the spiritual experience as well as the physical. I believe everyone who has taken Ibogaine has been given a tremendous gift of insight and enlightenment. Ibogaine has intimate knowledge of the natural order of life, and offers a glimpse of the immense universe and its infinite mysteries. It was a direct conduit between Creator and myself. He took me on an absolutely necessary journey in order for me to find my spiritual path, clearing away the illusions surrounding me, and making it possible to see my true self.
With this gift came the responsibility to live the lessons learned. I believe we are spiritual beings having human experiences, which often confuse us into external thinking and behavior. The illusion of separation is what kept me sick. Spiritual connectedness is the difference between a person enjoying a healthy reality or a painful, fearful, empty existence. I didn't always think this way; a total change in perception and understanding, my new enlightenment, has helped me to heal and accept my reality.
I now realize that all my difficulties in life were the result of my choices and actions. They were lessons, neither good nor bad; some harder than others. This realization has allowed me to change my direction and grow according to spiritual principles. I am living with a strong sense of kinship and purpose, and moving forward with the natural rhythms of the universe. I thank my teachers every day for the improvement in my life, and do my best to help all my relations. I don't know how much time I have, so I make the most of each day and enjoy this precious life as Creator intended: with hope, love and peace.
Thank you.
